While I agree with some of the objectives of both organizations, I would ask that everyone who agrees, and supports either, to please do your homework and take a closer look. Both groups are animal rights activists.

According to the U.S. Sportsmens Alliance, "...HSUS created a fund to aid animals stranded as a result of Hurricane Katrina. Later, the Louisiana Attorney General's office launched an investigation of HSUS when allegations surfaced that the money never made it to the pets in need."   For more info. go to www.ussportsmen.org

PETA kills over 90% of the animals that are in its shelters:

For a shocking revelation on both groups, read, "Redemption, The Myth of Pet Overpopulation and the No Kill Revolution in America" by Nathan J Winograd:

Winograd claims that the HSUS has written the guiding book about the current system of animal shelters resigned to killing animals out of sheer laziness instead of looking for alternatives:

Both PETA and various members of both PETA and HSUS have made their feelings on domestic dogs and cats well known. They should not be family pets, but rather turned back to nature and allowed to go wild. Along with farm animals.

The current attack on breeders and purebred dogs has nothing to do with their ultimate goal. It is merely the start of their agenda.
